THE GOING BLUE FOUNDATION AND AETHIC JOIN FORCES

Hi there! The Going Blue Foundation has joined with Aethic to spread information about invisible ocean pollution.

As you may already know:

• Coral only covers 0.1% of the ocean bed yet sustains 25% of ocean life and provides 1 billion people with their  livelihood and food, even here near this beach!
• Sunscreens coming off people’s skin in the ocean are estimated to account for 10% of coral death each year as well as harming mussels, sea urchins and other crucial ocean inhabitants.
• Shampoo and liquid soap entering the ocean from bathroom drains cause serious damage too that is not removed by water treatment plants
• The ocean plays a much greater role in climate change mitigation than previously thought or appreciated

So it’s crucial to raise awareness of invisible ocean pollutants and stop them at the source.
